What does the tour include?

Most of our tours include transportation to breweries, wineries & distilleries, a behind-the-scenes tour with samples, water, and snacks on the bus. Food and anything ordered by the customer at our stops are not included.

How many samples can I expect to get during the tour?

Typically you will receive approximately 3 samples per each stop during the tour. You are not obligated to drink each sample provided.   IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU ARRANGE TRANSPORTATION OR DESIGNATE A SOBER DRIVER BACK TO YOUR HOME OR HOTEL AT THE END OF THE TOUR.

How long do the tours take?

 The brewery tour takes approximately 4 hours and the winery tours take approximately 5 hours.

Can we bring/consume alcohol or food on the bus?

You may bring/consume food & alcohol on the bus.  Please just do us a solid and try keeping any messes to a minimum.

What locations do you visit on your tours?

We visit a diverse set of breweries, distilleries, and wineries operating in the KC area. The possibilities are virtually limitless. Click here to find a list of Kansas City locations that could be included in your tour itinerary!

Where do your tours start and end?

Our public tours start and end at Ollie’s Local at 3044 Gillham Rd, Kansas City, MO 64108 in Martini Corner.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you cancel or reschedule your tour more than 7 days before your scheduled trip departure, a fee of $25.00 will be charged for each participant. If you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled trip departure, no refund fees will be provided. No shows are responsible for 100% of trip fees.

The Barley Bus reserves the right to cancel any public event due to severe weather or if the tour does not reach the minimum required guests. If any public event needs to be canceled, all current ticket holders will be notified via email in advance of the scheduled tour with the option of rescheduling, credit or full refund.

Flexible Ticket Change Policy

For our guests who are booking or have existing bookings and may be concerned about upcoming tours, we have adopted flexible ticket change policies due to the evolving COVID-19 situation.

Guests who book any of our tours between March 1st through April 30th, 2020 may change their tours to a future date without incurring change fees.

For tickets/tours purchased on/before February 26, 2020, our flexible travel policy only applies to travel through April 30, 2020. We will continue to evaluate the situation and may make adjustments as warranted.

Do I have to be 21 to buy a ticket?

Yes, all brew bus riders must be 21 years or older. ID’s will be checked upon boarding the bus and may be checked again by other establishments.

Do you offer tickets for guests that are not interested in drinking alcohol?

Yes, for public tours.  Please contact us for a designated driver discounted ticket.

Can I book a Private Tour?

Absolutely, whether your group is 2 or 200 we have the tour for you. You can also call 1-855-434-BREW or email us to arrange a private tour.

What is the appropriate amount to tip our tour guide?

According to, tour guides are typically given a gratuity of 10-20% of the price of the tour, but any amount is greatly appreciated.

How do I request a donation?

Barley Bus Tours is a small, KC owned company that is committed to giving back to the community we serve.
