The best order to drive them

Start on Ward Parkway around 5500 and head south, with a detour west onto Snowflake Street (W. 70th Terrace between State Line and Ward Parkway). Then cut east into Brookside: Armour Fields from the south end zig-zagging north, Arno Road, and finish on Candy Cane Lane (W. 68th Terrace). Add Candy Cane Lane in Prairie Village, just over the state line, if you want one more.

Be a good guest

  • These are people's homes. Drive slowly, keep to the street and never block a driveway.
  • Turn your headlights to low beam, and keep the music in the car.
  • If you get out to walk, stay on the sidewalk and keep voices down after 9 p.m.
  • Where neighbors collect donations, a few dollars keeps the tradition going.
  • Fridays and Saturdays back up. Sunday to Thursday is easier, especially in the week before Christmas.
